Plan bleu

Plan Bleu, a Regional Activity Centre of the Mediterranean Action Plan, focuses on sustainable development and environmental protection in the Mediterranean region. Established to provide socioeconomic insights and facilitate science-policy interfaces, Plan Bleu supports the transition towards a green and blue economy. It undertakes forward-looking studies and acts as an observatory, informing governments and the public about the region's environmental and developmental status, promoting cooperation for a sustainable Mediterranean future.

Mediterranean Information Office

The Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE) is a federation of Mediterranean non-governmental organizations (NGOs) dedicated to environmental protection and sustainable development. Founded over 20 years ago, MIO-ECSDE acts as a platform for NGO intervention in the Mediterranean, promoting synergies and cooperation among stakeholders. The organization focuses on addressing environmental challenges, cultural heritage preservation, and sustainable development through advocacy, capacity building, and project implementation.

Euro-Mediterranean Water Information System

The Euro-Mediterranean Water Information System (SEMIDE) is a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing the exchange of information and best practices in water management across the Euro-Mediterranean region. SEMIDE facilitates cooperation between countries, supports capacity building, and promotes sustainable water management solutions. It serves as a platform for sharing technical expertise, research findings, and policy developments, contributing to improved water governance and resource management in the region.

L’Institut Méditerranéen de l’Eau

The Mediterranean Water Institute (Institut Méditerranéen de l'Eau, IME) is a prominent network focused on water management in the Mediterranean region. Founded in 1982, IME brings together professionals and experts to promote modern, sustainable, and responsible water practices. Through its activities, including conferences, publications, and collaborative projects, IME addresses regional water challenges, fosters knowledge exchange, and advocates for innovative solutions to ensure water security and environmental sustainability in the Mediterranean basin.

PRIMA

The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) is an initiative aimed at improving water availability, sustainable agricultural practices, and food value chains in the Mediterranean region. Through collaborative research and innovation, PRIMA addresses challenges like climate change, food security, and resource management. The program supports projects that enhance economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social well-being, fostering cooperation among Mediterranean countries to develop innovative solutions for a more resilient and sustainable future.
