The Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of Morocco has announced the opening of applications for the 15th edition of the Hassan II Environmental Prize, an award that recognizes innovative and exemplary initiatives in environmental protection and sustainable development in Morocco.
The Hassan II Environmental Prize aims to encourage actions and projects that contribute to the country’s preservation of natural resources, ecological transition, and achievement of sustainable development goals.
Applications are open in six distinct categories:
- Scientific and Technical Research: Rewards research and innovation work towards environmental protection and restoration.
- Media: Recognises journalistic and media productions that contribute to societal environmental awareness.
- Associative Action: Rewards activities led by associations committed to environmental protection, awareness, education and sustainable development.
- Enterprise Initiatives: Recognises citizen initiatives carried out by private and/or public enterprises for sustainable management, work conditions and CSR practices.
- Local Authority Initiatives: Acknowledges efforts by local authorities in protecting natural resources and environmental enhancement.
- Administrative Excellence: Honors public administrations implementing innovative environmental actions.
Submission Deadline: 30 April 2025
Submission Method: Sent by registered mail or handed in at the Bureau d’ordre du Ministère de la Transition Energétique et du Développement Durable.
Applicants are invited to submit a detailed application describing their initiative, ensuring compliance with the specific criteria for each category.
