Towards a Water Resilience Strategy for the EU (WRS 2025) will take place on 6 March 2025 in Brussels, Belgium. Organized by the European Commission, this high-level event will convene policymakers, industry experts, researchers, and civil society representatives to advance a shared vision for Europe’s water resilience. Participants will explore new approaches, foster collaboration, and exchange best practices to shape a robust and future-proof Water Resilience Strategy for the EU.
The event will feature a series of sessions addressing key dimensions of water sustainability and resilience:

Session 4 – Shaping a water resilient world
Session 4 – Research & Innovation underpinning the Water Resilience Strategy
Session 5 – Mission Ocean and Waters supporting regional engagement & cooperation through area-based “lighthouses”
